Whole school reminders/updates:
Welcome back to Term 3. We hope students and families are refreshed from the holiday break.
School Day / Punctuality
· The school day begins at 8.55am. Students who arrive after 9am are considered late and need to be signed in at the office by the parent / caregiver. If your child is absent please ensure you advise the school by 9.30am (via phone or email).
· The school day ends at 3.30pm. If you need to pick up early a note to your teacher in the morning is really helpful. Please report to the school office and sign your child out whilst your child is called to the office.
Staff updates for term 3
· Simon Wundersitz is acting Principal this week.
· Daryl Trigg is on long service leave until week 3 and Julian Helbig is long service leave until next week.
· Welcome Mrs Hayley Manning who is the new year 1 teacher for Thursdays and Fridays this semester (team teaching with Mrs Skye Jones)
· Mrs Sandra Lloyd (current classroom LSO) will be assisting in the Library every afternoon this semester.
NO Subway Lunches this week or next. In place we have:
· Hot Dog Lunch this Friday 28th July - order forms going home today - please return by Weds 26 July. Thanks Carers Group.
· Sausage Sizzle Lunch next Friday 4th August - order forms going home next week. Thanks P&F Group.
· Subway lunches return week 3 Friday 11th August.
Friday Electives will resume in week 2
· Parents please let Simon (simonw@ilsg.sa.edu.au) know if you are interested in running an elective this term. Each block of electives run for 2 weeks (week 2&3, 4&5, 6&8 and 9&10).
Winter Formal uniform - is to be worn in term 3
· Please ensure students are wearing correct uniform (formal or sport) on designated days
· Hats do not need to be worn in term 3 (as the UV rating is usually below 3)
· Please ensure hats and jumpers are clearly named.
· New uniform items can be purchased via the office. Second hand stall is open Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.
Volunteers Needed to help with the SAKGP:
· Every Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am and/or 11-12pm in the garden with Mr Wundersitz
· Every Wednesday 11:30-1pm and/or 1:45- 3:15pm in the kitchen with year 4's and Miss Freund
· No volunteers badge or experience needed - just come for a look first if you want! Garden starts week 2, kitchen starts week 3.
