Senior Unit Update Week 8

Let us rejoice for it is Week 8 and we have plenty of things going on. After a great concert performance last Thursday night we now get back into the normality of school. So what is going on, lets have a look.

Concert
Just a few things to clean up after concert.
1) If you borrowed clothing for the concert night, can it please be returned to the Senior Unit. This way we can get clothes back to the rightful owners. For everyone who has returned, well done.
2) If you have clothes or props left at school please get take them home so things can return to normal in the Senior Unit. We have loved all the great costumes and props created but now it is time they move on to a better place.

Friday Market
This week Friday market is returning. This is an initiative of students from the Senior Unit and we are looking to support them in their endeavour. Mrs Eckermann's class will be running a stall as will Mr Semmler's. Market happens on Friday afternoon from 3.25pm -3.45pm.
We are looking for donations of 6 cupcakes that we can sell on the day. The more cupcakes the better and will easily be sold. They can be sent in on Friday.
Monday raised through the Friday Markets will be used on projects around the school such as bird houses to put up around the school as an example.

Excursion to Parliament house and Surrounds
Next week on Thursday the 21st of September we have planned a trip to Parliament House for the Year 6's. This is a great opportunity to see our state parliament building and find out what goes on in it. A note will be sent out later in the week about the trip but we are looking for 4 volunteers for the journey. If you are interested please email us.

Unit of Inquiry
In all the excitement of Concert we have still been doing our regular work. With our current Units of Inquiry concluding we are about to embark on new learning adventures.
The Year 7's begin their Exhibition journey which will be a great chance for them to utilise the skills they have learned in their time at school.
The Year 6's will be investigating resources and there will be more to come on this.
